I am passionate about insightful design and fueled by inspired thinking. A craftsman focused in visual communications that command attention, spark interest, and establish a connection. Whether in discussion or design, I like to evoke the depth of response in others. Peeling back surface layers, uncovering the soulful core of a brand, I can then artfully infuse into dynamic deliverables, from commercials to collateral, billboards to banners, and everything in between. My creations subtly invite the viewer to engage rather than merely observe.
Defying standards, stretching limits and exceeding expectations, that's how I design, manage and create. My fascination with the human mind and emotions led into studies in psychology, semiotics, and social work. Using these studies, I believe is easier to strategically develop and enhance brand stories to achieve client objectives. I'm always trying to bring new and relevant content and strategies to the results of the projects I'm assigned to do.
Working in the creative industry for the past 14 years, I've started working as a web and graphic designer freelancer in the early 2000s. During my career in Brazil, I'd worked in branding and advertising agencies, and film production companies. In 2010, I opened a motion and graphic design studio along with my best-friend, and together we focused on corporate communications, specializing in the financial market and internal marketing. That allowed me to work with clients that would vary from startups to global companies.
After moving to Pensacola, in 2014, I worked as graphic designer for the Pensacola Museum of Art, working with signage, visual identity and collateral. As a freelancer, I found opportunities working with other artists, and Graffiti Bridge Project Book is a great result from that. For two years I was the Art and Creative director at Emagination Unlimited, where I was able on the visuals and concepts for the transition of Covenant Hospice to Covenant Care, and in campaigns for the Pensacola International Airport, leaving now a visual legacy in Pensacola.
My wide range of interest and expertise allows me to have worked for years in graphic design, but my focus of is my work in mentoring and conceptual work, unfolding visual arguments through the spectrum of semiotics, psychology, and storytelling.
